Reclaiming joy, vitality, resilience, and connection
Psychological therapy with Dr Vicki Connop
Welcome
Welcome to my online home. I’m a Registered Clinical Psychologist, certified yoga teacher, and writer, with an approach to healing that is rooted in over two decades of clinical experience across the UK and Aotearoa New Zealand. I specialise in mindfulness and compassion-based therapies, somatic psychology, and trauma healing, offering a deep understanding of the mind-body connection and its role in chronic stress and trauma.
Why Psychological Therapy?
Stuckness and struggle can show up in many ways, including in our mood, energy, health, and relationships. Psychological therapy offers a safe space to meet all parts of yourself with compassion and care. A space where you can build skills and resilience, and delve deeply into the roots of long-standing patterns. It offers the learning we were not taught in school – how to live with greater ease, vitality, joy, and acceptance.

Therapy creates a powerful container, a space where we can truly meet ourselves, with the gentle, witnessing presence of another acting as a guide. Many of our wounds took place in relationship, and we need to heal in relationship too.
